:: first day of pre-school ::

It is hard to believe Mini Max is starting his playhouse class today (4 January 2010). The feeling is funny as a first-time-mom for the first-time-pre-schooler + eager to see how he would respond to another phase of life + worry he would cry or what it happens when he is out-of-control etc + heart wrenching as I am spending every day, all day long with him ... now I have to send him off to kindergarden! He will leave at about 8.30am and will be home at about 12pm. That's a LONG day - for both of us!

But in the other hand I am confident he will love it and thrive after awhile + realise he is ”grown-up” and independent + soon to enjoy the little extra peace

:: bye bye, diaper ::

I would probably know this by now, it is hard to maintain a toddler's interest in anything unless he really wants to stay engaged. — especially if it is taking him a while to learn the new skill like potty training. I had Mini Mini M go without pants, diapers or underpants around the house for a few hours when he was in training. I would then keep a vigilant eye and asked him often if he wants to go. However, despite all my encouragement potty training [Combi potty trainer set + a car-drawn-toilet-paper + toilet rythm] are just not grabbing his attention the way I would like it to. Aaawwh!! It did make me frustrated but I need to stay calmed + pressure-free.

But thing turned out so easily when Mini M was hanging out with Joshua [older kid] who are using the toilet, it really encourages him to try consistently.

Yes, Mini M has done it! He could go to adult potty amazingly in weeing and pooping during the potty training period but no in toddler potty at all. I am proud finally I am getting him underpants after a hard works. I could see how much he likes his underpants as he would let others to guess what kind of 'animal' he is wearing today.
