:: Tine K home, Scandinivian Interior Designer ::

The word Scandinivian is introcuded by my hubby, Dean is working closely with Scandinivian Architecture company. I have got the chance to flip the printing material + surf their website + travel there and by days I am not knowing how much their style has affected me.

Scandinivian style ideas are [by my understanding] ...

+ The long winters and lack of natural light in Scandinavia created a need for sleek and airy
interiors that made the most of the available sunlight
+ Colors palette relies on basic colors: whites, from ecru to bright white, beiges, natural light
wood tones, and light blues... pop of sharp colors to central attraction
+ Textures & Fabrics, too, follow the natural theme or by simple, white strips. Cotton and
linen are the most commonly found fabrics in Scandinavian style interior design
+ Furnitures is a mixture of straight lines with gently curved detailing
+ Architecture details leaded glass windows, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and wall
moldings. Lighting is added with iron chandeliers and scones
+ Accessories are simple and uncluttered for a warm, welcoming, fresh, and elegant design
motive
